The iPhone home-screen Re-imagined with stretchable icons .
I have been an iPhone user since the debut of "The original iPhone", but in recent times I am getting a little bored by the static and less customisable nature of the iOS.
I started to imagine how Apple can make the iPhone's home screen more functional with glance-able information and few control options in line with what android and windows phone provide, and I am trying to portray those ideas through some "Gifs" which I have animated .
Please bare with me if the quality of animation is not up to the mark, since It was my first attempt at animation !
So it goes like this -
The iPhone 6 with iOS 7 enables stretchable icons. Developers are given APIs to enable app icons on the SpringBoard to change according to the shape in which they are stretched by users.
Users can enable "dynamic icons" from the settings menu in iOS.
The home screen comes alive.
In the stretched view they can display various push notifications and controls to interact with the apps according to the kind of app.The stretched out twitter icon can display recent tweets as well as option to post a new one -
(or even with a camera timer while checking weather and controlling music playback .) -
