Does an iPad mini event make any sense this month?
I just can't see how Apple are going to present an event for an iPad mini this month for 2 reasons.
Last month Apple held a big event which revealed the new iPhone, and the new iPod line up. The iPhone went on sale a few days later which is usual for devices Apple announce, and the iPods went on sale a month later.
A whole month later.
If Apple do have an event planned for this month, why didn't they wait till that event to show off the new iPods.
"Here is our new line up of iPods, and they are available now! BOOM!"
Secondly, if a cheaper, smaller iPad were to be announced, where does it leave the $299 iPod touch?
If an iPad mini were to be cheaper than an iPod touch, it would make the Touch an almost impossible sell. More expensive though, and you're talking around double the price of a Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire, making the iPad a tough sell.
I am not saying it WON"T happen, but a piece of the puzzle doesn't quite fit into place for me.
What do you think?
How do you think the iPad mini fit into the Apple line up?
