The space shuttle Endeavour made a strange yet memorable journey through Los Angeles on Friday and Saturday as part of its final trip to the California Space Center. The Atlantic has gathered pictures of the craft making its way through the streets and suburbs of the city, passing by famous landmarks such as Randy's Donuts as bemused onlookers gathered to take their own photos. Preparations were made in advance to remove obstacles like streetlamps and trees, but the shuttle still passed close enough to homes to allow one man to take pictures from a roof.
