MS's best chance for Win/WP8: Businesses....

I see a lot of heated debate about Win8 becoming a flop or not. In the consumer space for tablets and Phones, it is hard to beat Apple and/or Google. You can advertise all you want.

But I hear and read the first signs of companies who think about standardising on WP/Win8 because of the unified user experience, management/administration tools and security options. I know an inside story in the Netherlands where MS is actively pushing a company to go all in on Windows/Phone/RT 8 in Q1/13. In that sense they are actively going after the Blackberry business crowd. And if dad gets a Windows Phone from work or has Win8 on his tablet or laptop, suddenly the whole family gets confronted with Windows (Phone) 8!

Let's also not forget that with the low upgrade pricing, a lot of people will be confronted with Live tiles on their desktop, even if it's their husband or dad that did the upgrade at home...

So I believe that once people get into the interface aspect at their home PC and/or see it at their company assets, they will start recognizing it on phones and tablets as well. This could mean a lot more for promotion than flooding the airwaves with advertising (although they need to do that as well).

What do you guys think? Or am I being too positive about this?
