LG rolling out Android 4.1 to Korean Optimus G in December, Vu next year
LG has announced its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean roadmap for a few of its key devices in the Korean market, offering hope that the updated OS will makes its way to LG's flagship phones in the US soon after. The Optimus G — which is expected to reach AT&T and Sprint next month at the earliest — is scheduled for an update in December, while the Korean Optimus LTE 2 is scheduled to receive Android 4.1 next month. Meanwhile, the 5-inch Optimus Vu should get Jelly Bean some time during the first quarter of 2013 along with the Optimus Vu II. The original Vu's US variant, Verizon's LG Intuition, will likely be updated some time after the initial roll out. If a few months is too long to wait for an LG handset with the latest version of Android, you may want to keep an eye on the all-but-confirmed LG Nexus.
