What Channels Would You Need To Cut The Cord?
Reading the article on Boxee TV made me think again about a world where I can pick TV channels a la carte from a streaming service. I know this will not happen anytime soon especially because of affiliate fees, but if it could, I thought about what channels I would need to ditch traditional cable/satellite service. For me it's a pretty short list:
- ESPN
- NFL Red Zone
- Discovery Channel
- History Channel
- Travel Channel
- Food Network
Long-running shows I watch like Sons of Anarchy can already be bought per episode online if necessary, so I wouldn't need the channels they're on and the cost would still be less than my current TV bill. What about everyone else?
