If the Asus PadFone 2 was a Nexus instead

I love Asus' design of the PadFone – it's minimalistic while still achieving a premium look that stands out. My immediate thought was "this should be the next Nexus." One can dream, right? Here's a little mock-up I made of if the Asus PadFone 2 was instead the Asus PadFone Nexus.

Other changes I'd make are putting the volume buttons on the left and curving the top and bottom à la Galaxy Nexus and LG Nexus (not the best Photoshopping, didn't feel like putting in too much time):
