Galaxy S III owners, your wait for Jelly Bean might be nearing and end. Samsung just confirmed that all US variants of its flagship Android phone will receive an update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean "in the coming months," though there's amazingly still no solid date at this time. That's likely due to the individual carriers rolling these updates out on their own schedules; Samsung noted that each individual carrier would announce the specific update timing and method on their own. This isn't a huge surprise, considering Samsung started rolling out Android 4.1 for international Galaxy S III handsets last month — but it's good to know that all five carriers in the US will be offering the upgrade. For our part, we're hoping that "in the coming months" means before the end of 2012 — Jelly Bean will have been available for six whole months at that point.
