Using a calendar in a Moleskine journal

I'm sure more than a few people in here use journals to take notes so I figured I would ask. I take a lot of notes at my work. The journal I used before I switched to a Moleskine one had full month calendar pages up front that were very useful. Their daily planner wasn't really ideal for me because I don't want a page per day (sometimes I use more than a page and sometimes I only use a few lines. I bought the basic large notebook and was wondering if anyone had any good tips for keeping a calendar in it, like an insert or something. Right now I just print out a monthly page from outlook and write on it and then keep it in the back pocket.
