Ladies and gents, I apologise, I went to bed early last night, and totally forgot about putting this thing together. The internet is conspiring against me this morning, so this post will be finished properly in a couple of hours.

For now, talk away like normal, I'll fill in all the usual good stuff at lunchtime, when I have a PC that actually works.

1: A fond farewell to The Verge, from Polygon by Polygon Staff

It's with a whole slew of emotions we announce that today will be our last day of publishing Polygon articles on The Verge. We do not think we'll ever be able to express the gratitude we feel to our tech brothers and sisters who carved a niche from their own site that we could call ours. While their own venture was very much in its infancy, they entrusted us with a sizable chunk of it and honestly they couldn't have been nicer about it. The gaming hub of The Verge won't be going away of course, it'll still be regularly updated, it just won't be Polygon staffers filling it up.
