The Future Of Pokémon
Recently I read an article claiming that the next installment in the 'core' Pokémon series would be heading to the 3DS. And, while there are points I agreed with, I felt that the author might have been jumping the gun. Let's think about it. We're currently in the middle of the 5th generation. Would it make a lot of sense to switch from the DS to the 3DS mid generation? I know that traditionally each platform only gets one generation with the exception of the DS, which has had 2. The second thing that has been puzzling me would be when they start making Pokémon games for the 3DS is how, and if, they would choose to adopt 3D. And even beyond that, the Pokédex 3D Pro has new models for all 649 Pokémon. Would they use these new models to fully utilize the 3D? Or would they stick with the more 2D style, peppering in 3D models? I know that regardless of what direction the series goes in, I'll be there to pick my copies.
