Tech Blog Bias....

I have to admit I myself have sometimes criticized the Verge for a, "biased" review, however I do notice that Apple fans and Android fans alike seem to have one issue or another about how the verge reviews articles and the like. So I was going through my usual blogs and I happened to run into this article posted by BGR.COM

A Month With an iPhone 5

Now I am familiar with BGR and their tone on reviews. I've followed them for a while, and there is an apparent Apple bias, but this is one of a few of those articles that just made me wonder. This quote, had me thinking really?

"The iPhone 5 is undoubtedly the most impressive iPhone Apple has launched to date, but it’s also more than that: it separates Apple from its rivals by a wider margin than ever before. In terms of hardware quality and in terms of core software performance, the new iPhone has no peers."

Hey, there is nothing saying reviews have to be objective or even "fair". Reviews can be as subjective as the writer wants them to be. I mean it is based on their overall usage. But to all my fellow tech junkies...iOS, Android, Windows...and the like, is this what you want your Gadget reviews to like? Basically an ode to the reviewers favorite OS.

I say this because I do think theVerge, Phonedog, Pocketnow, and some other sites do offer good objective reviews and reporting of gadgets and the like regardless of the maker. Yes, there will always be a bias based on what fits the reviewers lifestyle the more, but its not as apparent here like it is on other sites.

So what do you think? Agree? Disagree? Sound off.
