At my cell phone shop, Performed tests on noise canceling technology between Siri, S voice and Google Voice. Who won?
You all know that there're three main voice assistants,
1. Siri
2. S Voice
3.Google Now
Me, and few other employees did tests on how good is the noise canceling technology, SInce there're multiple videos on YouTube for example that they set iPhone 5 And Google Nexus or GS3 on a table with back ground completely silent. But that is not reality because even your own home is noisy besides when every one is asleep.
The first test was a easy and normal one, Usually people use these features in super market first.
We walked in to Walmart Supercenter.... The busiest store (of course) And with usual back ground noise, Like beeps from registers and intercoms ect.
We asked all three assistants 3 simple questions what any one would ask.
(All phones are updated to newest update, And on same LTE network) AT&T
Fist question "What is the temp outside"
Siri 100% correct
Google Now 100% correct
S Voice Took to long to load so 0% correct
Siri and Google Now actually loaded the EXACT same time.
The next question was a little more challenging. "Text bob" We are at Walmart SuperCenter shopping for quite some time and what would you like to have or what would you have us buy for you"
Siri 77% correct
S Voice 74%
Google Now 0% it searched Google for that. Not text
The last question we asked was a simple one "Call bob"
Siri 100%
Google Now 100% (little slower then Siri probably a second or less"
S voice said "Sorry didn't get that" 0% correct
The next test is in a car going 70mph with windows down and wind coming in fast and loud.
We asked the 3 same questions,
Siri 56%
S voce 45% ( S voice is not consistent one minute it works and next it don't)
Google Now 0% every time we asked a question it literally didn't receive anything close to what we asked.
So to conclude this. I was very impressed with Google now and Siri. Even though Google Now doesn't have very reasonable noise canceling technology, It is level with Siri in many ways. S Voice on the other hand Samsung should not have that on their phones and just have Google Now instead of S Voice. S Voice is horrible.
