Explaining xbox branding
I know most of you understand that Microsoft is now makeing the xbox be the branding for its entertainment division. This is an article for those that dont know that.
Microsoft is making xbox become their branding for everything they do entertainment wise. This means music, videos and games. Once you get windows 8 there will be an app for xbox music, xbox video and several games branded xbox in the store. You do not need an xbox subscription or an xbox to use any of these services.
Xbox music is where you buy music, and where the music you own is stored. It is also a pandora/spotify like service that you can pay $10 a month for.
Xbox video is where your movies are stored and where you can buy more movies.
Xbox games are games that tie into your xbox account. You can create an xbox account and not have to pay for xbox live gold or have a console. There are several features you get from making an xbox account and linking it to your games. 1. All your achievements are saved 2. You get to create an avatar.
Hopefully this clears up some confusion for the xbox branding. Spread the word so more people dont mistake these services for exclusive features.
