Apple will stream a live video feed from today's iPad mini keynote directly to Apple TVs. Users with an Apple TV should see a new "Apple events" icon on their homescreen. Clicking on the icon will take you to a page inviting you to tune in at 10AM Pacific time to watch the event live. First noticed by MacRumors, the decision marks a u-turn for Apple, which hasn't broadcast live video from an event since 2010.
It's not clear if Apple will offer streaming through other mediums. We've had a look through the iOS App Store and iTunes to see if there is any hint of a mobile streaming solution, but haven't found anything yet. Apple's Events page also offers no hint of a live stream. We'll keep you updated if anything changes, but we'll be at the San Jose California Theater bringing you up-to-the-minute news and analysis direct from the event.
Update: Apple will also provide a live stream of the event online, but it's only guaranteed for existing customers: Apple says you'll need Safari 4 and OS X 10.6 or later to tune in. If you meet those requirements you can watch the stream here on Apple's events page.
