Teacher looking for a laptop, 13" Air vs 13" rMBP?
I'm a teacher who is in need of a laptop to use mainly for work. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the price premium to get the rMBP. Its main uses for work will be iWork and Office apps, though I will also use it to show the ocassional video in class as it will be hooked up to a projector through an appleTV. For personal use I'll mainly be using it to browse the web, manage my iPhoto library, and other "typical" uses. I won't be doing any heavy image or video editing, though I'd like to iMovie on ocassion.
I know that I probably don't need the retina display for how I plan on using it now. My concern is due to the fact that I don't plan on upgrading for probably 2-3 years minimum. I'm just wondering if within that time retina displays will be the norm and I'll regret not paying money now to get one.
And my final question, regardless of which I choose, is it worth paying the extra few hundred bucks to get the faster CPU?
