Universal Truths in Product Reviews or Here's your grain of salt
Can we agree once and for all that all reviews of products on this site will use an Apple product as the standard bearer for comparison? Whether it be phone, computer, tablet, media device etc. Whether it be from bias, preference, patent or superiority in design-perceived or factual. These are the benefits of being "first." This is even true for existing technologies Apple has yet to incorporate into its devices and/or ecosystem, ex. NFC.
Apple's culture, manufacturing, design, implementation, and marketing are the benchmark here. Can we agree that any metric rated greater than 8, in the mind of the reviewer, is "Apple quality" and as such is probably a closer to a 10 for the android faithful?
I think comments on product reviews or annoucements should be tempered with this understanding.
