Upgrading from Windows 7; how far does the keeping settings and preferences go?
Hey verge,
Windows 7 desktop user here; can't wait to upgrade in ~45 minutes (I'm waiting for the actual download link because I'm paranoid), but just a quick question:
What settings/ preferences are referred to when they say they're being kept after my upgrade -- e.g. desktop backgrounds, "favorites" on the sidebar of File Explorer, the arrangement of icons on my desktop, etc.
I'm considering screenshots of everything so I can get stuff back to the way I use it best after I upgrade if these things aren't kept, so yeah any first hand experience would be awesomesauce.
Thanks!
