Best Major for Web Design and Development?

Hello all,

I'm not 100% sure this was the best place to post this, but here we are. I'm currently making my way through sophomore year as a computer science major. My first year consisted of learning Java (do people really still use Java that much?). Even though it was in Java, that was simply a vehicle to teach us general programming concepts (all of which I already knew). We're now deep into theory and complicated math (at least for me). Math has never been a strong point for me.

My issue is that I've been in web development for 5-6 years now. I know many languages and as is common in the field, classroom instruction is so far behind what is actually in use now. The math is difficult and very abstract. I'm constantly asking myself when will I use any of this stuff. I'm not enjoying where I'm at.

Finally, the question. I'm in the process of wanting to switch majors. My idea right now is to switch to a business admin or marketing, and a possible minor in computer science. I want to keep the same career, but want to reevaluate how I get there and make the most of my time while in college.

Thank you
