Adblock Plus 2.0 - Allowing acceptable ads
I like to browse the internet with an ad blocker installed. Sometimes this makes me feel like a jerk, like I'm stealing. In my defense I turn it off for select sites. Lets start here, I frequently turn it off for the Verge, that is until I go to the front page and I get one of those stupid ads that slides down and takes up way to much space. About every Thursday I turn it on because I'm sick of seeing the same ad both pre and post roll for 90 Seconds On The Verge. Actually it used to be every Thursday, cause I would be sick of it after the last three days, now I turn it on before I hit play. It was that same GS3 commercial for way to long. He's watching a video and sending a text message at the same time, I get it.
So what does this have to do with anything? I want to support the Verge and I don't mind some of your ads but others just annoy me so I turn on Adblock Plus for a while. With the newest version of Adblock Plus they have the option to allow acceptable ads. I'm going to leave that on and I would ask the Verge to start displaying "acceptable ads" so that I can both not be annoyed and still see ads that support the site. Any chance of this happening?
