Typical Windows media functionality sacrificed for a minimalist UI in W8

As I sift through the metro apps on Windows 8, i find it rather ironic.

Firstly, I find no issues in using W8 with a typical keyboard and touchpad. My Lenovo touchpad works just fine.

Anyone who says ther's a very steep learning curve for W8 or it is cumbersome to use with traditional input decives is wrong. Based on my personal experience, Let my judgement not be your foundation.

Secondly, the "metro" part (and he most important) part of Windows 8 lacks functionality.

Music app- no equalizer, no lyric view, no song info editing. (nothing close to media player)
Video app - same story, playback options - repeat on/off, that's it. (nothing close to media player)

Not just this, I find alot of places where functionality has been axed off in favor of UI

Don't get me wrong here, digging W8, but i tend to use desktop much more often than I should.
