All this negativity on WP8...

I find all this negativity a little astonishing really. I'd expected quite a lot more enthusiasm and only a few minor complaints about it. The software has gotten some very positive reviews - and of course they highlight the obvious flaw - but the response is great and I really want this OS to do well. Why? Well I'm not a fanboy, but I really don't want a choice of only two operating systems. I don't. It's limiting, and when I think about the choice between one grid of icons and another I'm astonished that so many see that as choice. From a productivity stand point, for power users, I can understand. Engadget staff mentioned that they couldn't use Windows Phone as their day to day because the OS was lacking full google docs (and etc) integration. But if we are to consider buying a phone as becoming a part of an ecosystem - then I think that WP8 represents a significant realisation in what an ecosystem means and I also believe that the Windows ecosystem has the very real potential of being huge and is already very promising. I am encouraged by MS's commitment to the platform and I think they too realise that apps is where they lack, and so have laid the groundwork for devs to enjoy the full benefits of the Windows ecosystem. I wish to F I knew the first thing about developing software. I'd make WP8 apps like I was stink on cheese. Anyone else feel the same way, or are you just here to h8?
