Is the Nexus Q dead?
Google hasn't made any announcements or mentions regarding the Nexus Q for a while. They even took it down from the Play Store and the Nexus website right after the refresh. During their showcase of the new Nexus devices and Android 4.2 on their interview with The Verge, they touted Miracast compatibility — a feature which pretty much does what the Nexus Q could do, but a little more, give or take some differences.
Is this a bad sign for the Nexus Q? Could Google be nixing the product? Or do you think they're still just shelving it "indefinitely?" While the Nexus Q was definitely overpriced for what little it could do, it was an exciting product from Google and a milestone of where they could have headed with their own hardware — producing their own hardware with beautiful design.
