surface hdmi adopter issue

Anyone else have experienced this? I bought my for maybe 25 at the Microsoft store and used it for just a little. But it seems that the connection is not too stable, when the connection established, it works fine. But if I try to play with the surface at the meantime, I'll lost connection very easily. Sometimes even just move the surface will cause that to happen. So is that me getting a bad product or it's a universal problem? Please help.
