No auto-brightness on 5th gen iPod touch
This has been rumored for a while since the ambient light sensor is not listed on the iPod touch 5th gen's spec sheet at Apple's website, but the iOS 6 iPod touch user guide just hit the iBooks store, and auto-brightness is indeed listed as iPod touch 4th gen exclusive.
What the hell, Apple?
