Boxee Product Placement?

I'm somewhat surprised by the number of posts that Boxee gets from The Verge. Are the staffer's here BFFs with Avner? This past week hasn't been a slow news cycle (Nexus 10, Nexus 4, Windows 8, Surface ... etc) but Boxee has still managed to garner many posts:

Boxee TV now available for $99
Boxee TV coming exclusively to Walmart tomorrow
Boxee offering free Boxee TV to early adopters

Going back a few weeks:

Can Boxee reinvent cable with the help of a TV antenna?
Leaked Boxee TV adds HDTV antenna and DVR to let you ditch cable for good

Did Hurricane Sandy get this much attention? Speaking of hurricanes, who does The Verge turn to when they need hurricane quotes? Avner Ronen, from Boxee:

Post-hurricane, New York's internet industry runs on diesel

Who has the most comments in today's post about general availability?

Andrew Kippen, VP of Marketing from Boxee

What kind of feedback to Boxee get when they announced TV on their blog? Vile hatred, mostly from their existing customers. It was previously available here, but Boxee deleted the post in the last 24 hours:

http://blog.boxee.tv/2012/10/16/boxee-box-past-present-and-future/

Google cached copy available here.

The vocal among their customers appear to HATE them, tut The Verge sure is happy to give them a free pass when it comes to publicity.
