How Apple should simplify their Mac line
Apple's Mac product line is a bit of a mess right now. They have MacBook Airs, Pros, Pros with Retina Displays, Servers, the list goes on and on. I've come up with a few tweaks to simplify the line.
MacBook Line
MacBook Air = MacBook
The MacBook Air is the consumer notebook and now that the plastic MacBook has been discontinued I've renamed the it to just the MacBook. It still comes in 11" and 13" models but now they have a retina display and all models come with a 256GB SSD as standard. I've also removed all the branding from the computers.
MacBook Pro
The MacBook Pro right now has two lines; MacBook Pro and MacBook Pro with Retina Display. Now I've gotten rid of the regular MacBook Pro line and all that exists is the retina line. The prices are the same as the regular line and they all come with a 512GB SSD as standard.
Desktops
The Mac Line is pretty much the same.
So that's it. Just a few thoughts on the Mac line. Please comment what you think about this and if you have any thoughts.
