Retina has spoiled me, the iPad mini screen is bad.
Finally got to see the iPad mini in store. I really figured I wasn't too jaded with retina. I actually thought the MS Surface screen was pretty decent actually, and my (non-retina) iMac monitor looks fine to me, but maybe it's because you naturally hold the iPad mini close to your face, but it looked really fuzzy. I could see the pixelation everywhere. Browsing photos, looking at menu text, it just looked .... bad.
Some people seem to think otherwise, so maybe this is a very subjective thing, but from my perspective, it wasn't only "not as good as retina", it was actually a poor experience.
Disappointing.
