Watch This: Interview with the late Douglas Adams speaking about artificial life
In an interview conducted by Andy Taplin, the late Douglas Adams discusses artificial life and his views on the Internet being an organic entity. A bit dated by today's standard this interview was given in 1997 only four years before his passing in 2001. Douglas was an avid geek in all senses, fascinated by science, technology and biology, he was one of the first to own an Apple Mac in the UK. As you will see by watching the interview, he has an amazing ability to just riff on the concepts of artificial life and evolution.
For those who don't know Douglas Adams was best known as the Author behind the best selling Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy series, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency and The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul.
