Am I the only one who dislikes the new "title boxes"?

I mean the boxes inside the picture like this:

Why I don't like them?

• The information they display is already contained in the headline - so its redundant information and it is a little bit confusing. What should I read first - the text in the box or the headline.
  
• They add even more clutter to the front page which is already pretty busy. The not symmetrical smaller box doesn't help here either.
• I don't think they look really good, and I don't get how they fit in with the rest of the site design.

So - is it just me?
