"Little things" Windows 8 is missing

I have been using Windows 8 since it was RTM. It's a great OS - but there are lots of little things that are keeping it from being an amazing OS. What would you change about it? For one thing, I don't like that there's no way to bring up the XBOX music miniplayer without pausing the music. Simply making it show up with the clock and charms bar would fix this simply and attractively.
