Customizing the new 4.2 lock-screen.

Finally got 4.2 on my N7. First thing I notice is the new clock on the lock screen. Unfortunately, it clashes badly with my wall paper and there's no way to customize it except for adding more clocks/more clutter. 4.1.x clock looks much better.

What's worse, I cannot even have an empty spot for it. If I removed the clock, there's the stupid + add widget icon, and once I turn the screen off, the clock is back unless I put another widget on.

The least Google could offer is the option to change the fonts and/or color of the clock. Here's hoping for better 3rd party options soon.
