No wonder OEMs are getting there ass kicked
Im looking for laptop for Christmas. I wanted one that was made for windows 8 and one with a touchscreen. I'm really leaning towards the Acer Aspire S7 but thought it was a little expensive (retails for $1400). So to show that it wasn't that expensive I decided to look up the price of an Apple MacBook Air. To my surprise the equivalent specked mac book air goes for $1200. The only difference I could come up with is the Mac Book air has a 1400X900 screen compared to the Aspires 1080. And the Aspire has a touchscreen.
So I should pay $200 more for a better screen, touch integration and bloat ware. Are you kidding me. I no longer wonder why Apple beats OEMs in the premium laptop category.
