Has Microsoft done any work to encourage the roughly 1 billion current customers using XP and windows 7 to upgrade to windows 8? I have seen plenty of ads for windows 8, but none mention the $39 upgrade price or where to go to upgrade. Unless you are a tech enthusiast, or routinely go to Microsoft's website...you would have no idea about this $39 upgrade offer or the benefits of upgrading (new app store, xbox music and video integration, etc).

How hard would it be to make an commercial that gives the upgrade price and location of the download?
