Charms bar is by far the best Windows 8 innovation
The charms bar, hated by many, loved by some, is in my opinion the best Windows 8 innovation yet. It is very natural to use, and quickly become second nature. I won't get into a lengthily discussion of why this is better than what the competition offers or what design "experts" has to say.
I just know that when ever I'm on an Android or iOS device and even my Windows Phone, I keep looking for that search/share icons whenever I want to share or search for something. Performing this now wide spread actions in a common place for all apps is just brilliant.
Relaying on the charms is a huge paradigm shift and may be difficult for some people, but once you do, you just can go back to the "legacy" stuff, it is worth indeed.
