Apple iPad 2 (Wi-Fi)

SOFTWARE: The same as the iPad mini: I have no doubt that Apple will update iOS to be more powerful. It's already very stable and reliable. Only some functions need to be added, as the competition is stiffer with Windows and Android. It isn't the fastest iPad with its A5 chip, but the software optimization let the device manage the apps pretty well. The ecosystem of apps gives possibilities and power to the iPad. There is no way to worry about having an app for a certain task or hobby. Gestures are nice and the touch experience very responsive.
HARDWARE: iPad has been the benchmark in the tablet space for almost 2 years now. Its design is still relevant. The screen resolution is ageing of course, but is still very efficient with nice color reproduction. It allows the iPad to last 10 hours on a single charge.
The iPad is the device that convinced me that the 10" form factor of a tablet was a fantastic, productive design. It did deliver its promises. The only major expectation I have from Apple is to add more and more functions to iOS to benefit from the larger screen of the iPads compared with the iPhone/iPod. Because in terms of design and hardware, Apple reached a milestone difficult to exceed.
