Buying a laptop *now*
Sorry if this topic has been answered already.
I need to buy a laptop for a friend *now* (well, actually in the next 7 days). So suggestions like "get the Surface Pro" are not an option, sorry! He depends on me for a recommendation, and he's always been a Windows user. Just to give you an idea of the kind of user he is: he is still using the last laptop I recommended to him, since 7 years ago or so!
So my question is simple: what do I get? I haven't really been following these things very closely, but my first reaction is the IdeaPad Yoga. BestBuy's website says it's $999 + taxes in-store. Is there something better out there? I was thinking that it should probably have at least a touchscreen.
