Weekend project: iOS' UI minimalized
Hello people.
As we all heard a few days ago, Jony Ive is taking Apple's interface design role. I was very excited and was wondering what will change the upcoming months/years for OS X, and especially iOS' user interface.
As a small personal project on the weekend from november 2 to 4 I thought about iPhone's current UI, skeuomorphism and how horrible it can be used in some situations. iOS' apps are full of it, many are inconsistent and I hate it. Very minimalistic, simple and clean was my goal, but keeping (nearly) all features and functions as they are.
Below you see 11 screens. On the left always the current UI, on the right my design. No borders, no dropshadows, no color gradients. A mix of iOS, Android and Windows 8.

I'm excited how Ive will change things, probably not this way, but I hope in that direction.
Special thanks to Daniel Bruce for the beautiful icons: http://www.entypo.com/
