If you live in the States and have been thinking about importing a European Lightning to Micro USB adapter, you can save yourself some shipping. The tiny adapter has recently popped up on Apple’s US store for $19 — expensive, but $5 cheaper than the €19 European price. As the name suggests, the adapters let you use an ordinary microUSB cable to sync and charge Apple's new mobile devices, like the iPhone 5, iPod Touch, iPod Nano, and iPad mini. Yesterday, Belkin announced the first third-party Lightning-compatible accessories, all priced at $29.99. Now, armed with ready access to the new adapter, deal-conscious shoppers might find cheaper and more versatile solutions already on the market.
