iPhone dock owners use 3D printers to retrofit Lightning connectors
Over 12,500 people backed Elevation Labs' iPhone Dock through Kickstarter in February, only to have received the 30-pin-equipped device just days before Apple made it obsolete with the new Lightning connector. Unwilling to turn their Elevation Docks into paperweights, a few 3D printer owners took it upon themselves to create adapters that can be used to swap out the obselete connectors.
