(This Totally Sounds Like Trolling) If a 4x3 Display Ratio is The Best for Pretty Much Anything Besides Video...

...Then why is the iPad the ONLY 4x3 Apple product? Laptops and Desktops with 16 x 9 screens make sense to me (split-screen multitasking is always better with wider screens, screen itself is not being held in your hand, etc) but what about the iPhone and iPod Touch?
I figure I ask because you guys seem to provide good answers to these questions
