Okay, so here's a repost of an earlier posting with less... contempt for those who disagree with what I see as so positive and obvious.
Saw an article on slate talking about a schism that occurred in the mid 2000s
And here is a talk mentioned by one of the harbingers of that movement in the article.

Do you think we need to conserve our way out of all of our environmental problems? Go with a sort of green austerity movement for the planet to reign in the parasitic activity of human beings? Then I'd suggest you take a look/listen to the arguments contained in that video talk. They have the stronger hand.
