Is convergence a good thing?
Well, we've seen several threads here about how OSX and iOS, Windows 8 {Desktop} and Windows 8 {Tablet) are all coming to a convergence point. While this may be great for their respective individual services and whatnot, does it really mean better products? I mean look at the second example I mentioned above. I currently used Windows 8 (old Core2Duo non-touch desktop), and while it's fast, it's rather... well.. extremely counter-intuitive). So my point is: where are we heading, and how is it going to end up?
