Is it the end of the road for Windows Phone?

What Google did yesterday was a big blow to Windows Phone. Just when device sales are starting to pick up, they cut off EAS for new users. You might say *you* don't use Google so you're fine but fact of the matter is *lot* of people use Google services (including me) and this might be a turn off to buy a Windows Phone. At least the iPhone has some apps. So what does Microsoft do from here?

According to Paul Thurrott: Microsoft just got Scroogled. They shouldn't have run such FUD campaigns. Google has the last laugh now.

Please, let's have a civilised and sensible discussion/argument with valid points and no fanboyism please. I hope even Google users and fans can respond and put across what they feel as well.
