Upsides to downgrading to a CRT monitor?

Hey all, I've been looking back at CRT monitors, seeing as they're basically free and I am extremely displeased with gaming on LCD screens (refresh rates and color reproduction), I was wondering what the upsides were going to a CRT monitor were?
