I got my 500t yesterday. I tested it compared to my Samsung windows 7 xe700t slate, and was surprised at how near the Atom processor came to match the S7 slate. I want it for the S pen for report writing in my business. At present I am using Microsoft word writing app and the S pen on the Galaxy note 10.1. I now expect to be able to use the S pen app on the 500t and not need the note as well.
The Spen app on the 500t is a bit slower than the note, but works fine.

I have one of the new windows wedge keyboards which comes with a clever stand which when not in use covers the keyboard. It costs about 1/2 the cost of the proprietary keyboard.

Well done to Samsung. Its a beauty.
I am not sure about the 13.5 Hrs battery life though.

I also have the windows Surface Rt which is excellent as a mobile device but is limited in that there is no pen input, dropbox, and depends on the app store completely, but the new office preloaded works a treat. It is great value for money as a competitor to Apple. 20000 apps in the store now, and rising. The Netflix app and folmontv are excellent and free.
