Opinion : How Apple once again impressed me this year

Hello everyone , First i want to say little bit about myself.I am 20 and I from India and.I am currently doing B.Tech in 'Electronic and Communication' branch.So , yes I am a student.

It all started with iPod Video , back when my dad bought it as a family device in 2005 , then iPod Touch 4th gen in 2010 and now iPad 3 in 2012.My first Apple product is iPod Touch.I have been using it everyday without even missing a single day.

Now going back to 2012 Jan , I decided to get a smartphone to replace my current 5800 Express music.So i started hunting for a good device , but here in my country , contracts are illegal , so phones are only sold as unlocked and iPhone 4S was too expensive , I can get 2 galaxy S2 phones if I add $100 to 32GB iPhone 4S price tag (yeah u heard it , its 32 GB but not 64GB) , So imagine the conditions here.I really don't want to go 3GS because it doesn't have Retina Display and iPhone 4 price was equal to Galaxy S2 price.

Then , i realized that its waste of investing money on smartphone plus at my age , i really don't deserve to get a high priced phone , so finally i decided to get Lumia 710 or Omnia W which are way cheaper and decent phones (if not the best) , i was impressed at WP but only to realize that none of these received 7.8 update and I wasn't sure if these devices are good for long term but finally decided to get Lumia because it has Nokia Music and comes with navigation but finally i decided to keep my current 5800 phone with me and get a tablet because i wanted to make a serious purchase which would be useful for my education as well as great entertainment.

Forwarding to May 2012 , I finally got iPad 3rd gen which has cellular connectivity.Its definitely one of the best device.Months passed away and then After watching October Apple Event.First i thought , I should have waited for 4th gen iPad but then realized that its silly attitude to wait for "next one to arrive" because with that attitude i can't buy anything forever , better one always comes.

Suddenly , I got interested in W8 tablet line-up and i was looking at those one by one (each company offerings) , Then i thought Ativ was good one , only to realize later that its a bad experience and also overpriced up here (after converting back to USD from my currency , cost is $980 for SmartPC and continues upto $1380 for SmartPC Pro version) , sounds very bad right ? Instead of that price for Pro version , I can get a nice Macbook pro (or) I can get (Macbook Air base model + iPod Touch) combo for it (MS didnt launch surface here) but overall i think its not worth that much for a hybrid device with unrefined software.

Coming to November , iTunes Music store opened and i heard the news and concluded it must be a rumor but store really debuted up here which offers Music and Movies (previously only iTunes U,Podcasts,iBooks and Appstore were available).Pricing of the music was so awesome , for example , a typical $30.00-$39.99 collection album costs only $2 here and a latest album of $17.99 costs like $5 , and a music video costs $0.4 (even though i use only youtube for it).

Overall , I am extremely satisfied with Apple in 2012 , They really nailed it this year with amazing products as before.May be some people are bored or expecting more.Retina Macbook Pro , iMacs , Mac Minis , iPods , iPhone , iPads and expanded iTunes store..........
