I do not care if the Microsoft Surface Pro becomes a huge hit. Why? Well, quite frankly, I'm going to be using it, not drooling over it. All 'fandom' aside, I want to use the thing.

Hence the question: What can the Microsoft Surface Pro do for me?

Personally, I will be using it as my next computer. The Microsoft Surface Pro is AMAZING for content consumption AND creation. I want something that I can take with me wherever I happen to be. With the Surface Pro, I suddenly have a portable 'tower' that is there wherever I need it. I can connect 60" display for watching movies, or 24" LCD to work on at my desk. I can use it while I'm waiting in line at the grocery store or while I'm crunching professional Computer-Aided Design (CAD) data. I can use the pen to take notes on a new design, or scrawl comments when I'm watching a presentation. I can use it at the gym as a movie screen or mp3 player. When I'm home, I can watch Netflix or even play games on it if I want to, all while 'looking' like a plain old tablet.

In short, I have a computer that is no longer limited by mobility and I have a tablet that is no longer limited by the 'app for that'.

And just because:

*Apple: for those who can't use a computer.

*And yes, I own an iPad...
