Gruber worked on this pretty hard and is very careful with what he's saying here. This pretty much cements my impression that I don't need to read the biography. I kind of want to, eventually, but not in any kind of rush whatsoever. The poor research would drive me nuts.

And Gruber is right: design is how it works.
