Will Windows 8 be more successful that Windows 7?
Windows 7 was hugely popular. I downloaded the beta the moment and was extremely pumped about its release, of which I also purchased on release day.
Windows 7 promised a modern feel and much much better stability and performance and delivered on that front.. I have since switched away from Windows to Mac, but Windows 7 is without a doubt the best version of Windows.
That said, Will Windows 8 sell more copies than Windows 7? I think its MS hope that it does however I am not sure that it will. I really think the reason Windows 7 was so popular was because it was a savoir from the flop that was Vista and it was also a worthy upgrade for companies to finally upgrade from XP.
That said, Windows 8 wont have that advantage. Windows 7 is a good stable release. Companies update their OS's not very often, So I can't see Windows 8 getting the wide business adoption that Win 7 had.
In the consumer market, most people are satisfied with Windows 7. Windows 7 was a must have upgrade to get rid of Vista but Windows 8 is no where near must upgrade.
So my question is: Do you think Windows 8 will out sell Windows 7? And IF So why? and is Not Why?
